I used to like the first day of school.
Hear me out.
It was a fresh start. Everything was possible. I believed in what I could achieve. I was ambitious. And if I played my cards right, I could set myself up structurally to have a great year. To follow through without having to do any really heavy lifting.
The first day of school was about creating healthy habits that would last the year.
I'm constantly trying to get back to basics. To get back to those building blocks. I fall off fairly easily. This adult thing is hard sometimes. There are a lot of moving parts. And I don't even have KIDS! But seriously, getting back to basics is important. Creating healthy routines I can stick to. I recognize, after to talking to my pal Will (who will feature tomorrow) that this blog is one of them .
I won't make any large declarations. But suffice to say, I have priorities and I have to meet them.
I have to get back to the building blocks.
