All around good day.
Started the day with a good chat with one my oldest and closest friends, who I once started a cool company with that to this day still exists which is a testament to something, though I don't always know what. Daniel Chapman-Smith everybody. Great to hear his voice, and catch up a little bit. In the story of how people impacted my life, Dan remains this great force whose touch on my life is ever present, and who I've gone through a lot alongside and been able to still stand by and say this guy will be here forever. That's a rare thing. He's taught me things, proven me wrong, proven me right, has changed the way I think about more things than I'm even aware of, has lifted me up, let me down, and taught me about moving on. Love this guy.
Then I got my
Handy-Man-ness on and helped my good friends do some painting!
I ended the social component of my day re-connecting with Farah Mehrani, and meeting two of her friends - who hopefully I can fold into my own friend group. Amber Ripley who works at Foundation Features which produces Motive among other things, and Richard de Klerk. Both very cool, interesting, engaging, and lit up people. One a producer, one an actor. Also Richard is Dutch (part) and reminds me that I need to get my duolingo on.
To end the day, I went to work at Farmers where I get to work with this Gem of a human being: Doug. Chef Doug.
